This year, I took it upon myself to organize a men’s softball team to enter the Molson Men’s Recreational Softball League for the first time under Parkway Hyundai’s name. Last year, during my tenure with City Chrysler, we were a jersey name sponsor but not an actual registered team in the league.

Beginning in late spring and ending September 16, our inaugural season was a huge success, and as you can see, many of the players on our roster were local Steele Auto employees. We also were able to attract other players from around the league, representing a variety of West Coast communities.

Playing under the name “Parkway Hyundai Palisades”, we lost by one run in the bottom of the last inning of the finals, and judging by the picture, the players and league would love for us to return next year.

This was an amazing way to integrate Steele Auto Group culture into the community while also using the opportunity to market our vehicles and services to other players and businesses around the league.

Last year we sold 5 vehicles to league members, and this year, we are happy to have surpassed that and raised the bar for next year!

P.S. The most exciting part of this has been the interest from other SAG staff in Corner Brook after watching us play and enjoy ourselves. I have decided to commit to making Parkway’s team a co-ed team next season, which will play in the Corner Brook Co-Ed Softball League! It is outstanding to see a small men’s league team that I sponsored last year turn into an incredible way to integrate our stores into the communities around us while promoting our company’s diverse staff and honest business practices.
